Green Shopping Criteria Survey

Date November 20, 2007

green business: company that is both socially and environmentally responsible.

We are trying to determine what issues are most important to conscious consumers.

These questions are open to anyone who considers the impact of the the products they buy or the companies they support.

Feel free to elaborate on this topic…

Thank you in advance for your taking time to share

1. What are the deciding factors outside of standard shopping criteria (price, quality, etc) that weigh most heavily when on you/your customers (based on feedback) when deciding whether to shop at a/your store?

2. Is it enough for a business to SAY they are selling fair trade or organic products or do they need to prove it…and if so how?

3. Does it matter if the business is a member of trade organizations (like OTA, HIA, FTF)?

4. Do you as a customer or do your customers ask questions about certifications, how/where products are produced, etc.? What are the most common questions asked?
